Huawei Mate X is expected to hit the market in China on Wednesday, October 23. Unfortunately, there is no official confirmation from the manufacturer. However, the alleged price for Huawei Mate X has arrived on the Internet today, revealing some interesting details.
Leakage: The price for Huawei Mate X is now available on the Internet.
Information is from the Huawei Central Web site. The Mate X will have two versions – a base model with Kirin 980 chipset + Balong 5000 5G modem and a high-end model with Kirin 990 5G chipset.
The Kirin 980 model costs about 1414 euros. The Kirin 990 5G chipset version is sold for 1970 Euros. The price of both models is significantly cheaper than the introductory price announced in February in Europe of 2299 euros, which obviously affected the Kirin 980 version.
The Mate X is foldable. This means that you flip the screen backwards. In this case, you can use it in smartphone mode. However, if it is fully open, you can use it in tablet mode. The advantage of this design is that unlike Samsung Galaxy Fold, which has a second external display due to its inward folding design, no second display is needed when the device is folded. The disadvantage of this Huawei design is that the screen is always visible.
Meanwhile, the Mate X, which has been redesigned compared to the first release, has a button that needs to be pressed to open the device when we want it. Switch to tablet mode. Apparently in smartphone mode, the folded part of the screen is locked. To return to tablet mode, you must press the red button.
Note that the flexible screen of this smartphone is 20 cm. Also noteworthy is the resolution of 2480 x 2200 pixels when it is open. When folded, one page is 6.6 inches at a resolution of 2480 x 1148 pixels. The other is 6.38 inches with a resolution of 2480 x 892 pixels.
