Music legend Roberta Flack was hospitalized on Friday night after her illness from the Apollo Theater
She received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Jazz Foundation of America
According to People Flack, 81, was hospitalized because she did not feel well, but fortunately "at the moment" is running well.
"You have had a stroke a few years ago," said her representative at the time of publication. "She was not feeling well, so it was best to take her to the hospital, she's fine, but she's kept overnight for observation."
TMZ later reported that Flack could leave the stage without help. An ambulance was required to take her to a hospital in Harlem, New York.
