A Georgia primary school teacher was indicted last week for the murder of two children in a 2016 gang attack
Michael De & # 39; s Sean White, 26, who works at Toney Elementary School in DeKalb County, was arrested on Friday and Accused of killing 11-year-old Tatiyana Coates and 15-year-old Daveon Coates.
Clayton County Police Maj. Tina Daniel told WSB-TV a police sketch of a man seen at the scene Georgia Bureau of Investigation helped the authorities crack down on White.
"It's still an open and still open investigation," Daniel said, adding that at least one other person had been arrested.
Authorities believe gang members have invaded the orphanage, looking for another teenager who was not there.
Daniel said the agency recovered a gun from a shootout in Tennessee the next day.
"At that time, we believe that the weapon was involved in Chattanooga, somehow related to the incident," she said. "We are still waiting for the final ballistic information."
School officials told WSB-TV that White had been removed from primary school until being examined. He has taught fifth grade at the school since August and began paraprofessional with the district in March 2017.
"It gets you in the stomach that someone who is responsible for our children every day might be involved in a vile crime," Daniel said.
