It was love at first sight for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, both of whom had quickly sensed that their brief encounter on a blind date could become something much, much bigger.
They were founded by a mutual friend as a US actress Markle traveled through London in July 2016, and the couple later revealed that they knew little about each other. The speed of their relationship surprised both of them.
"The fact that I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly fast was a confirmation to me that all the stars were aligned, everything was just perfect," said Harry.
Less Two years later, at Windsor Castle, on May 19, they will tie the knot and seal a relationship that quickly grew outside of the media limelight ̵
When the couple first met drinking, both were stunned.
She was 34 and divorced for three years; he and with a few failed relationships and his 10-year army career recently behind him.
Harry had never heard of Markle or seen "suits," the US television rights drama series in which she starred since 2011.
"I was so surprised when I came to this room and saw it," he recalled, thinking, "I really need to play my game here!"

Friendship in Botswana
Joined by their passion for good deeds, they represented, they immediately arranged a second appointment the next day.
A few weeks later, he persuaded her to accompany him to camp in Botswana for five days, which gave Harry a "big jump" he could take so soon – but one that paid off.

The Royal Car Andrew Morton, who authored a biography of Markle, said the speed with which she fell on Harry was surprising, as the TV star was a lifelong cautious being.
"He was more of the petitioner than I was Ghan, he had more to gain and Meghan has more to lose because she agrees to be his bride," Morton told AFP in an unusual role reversal for the prince.

"This is not a game"
Harry publicly confirmed his dating in November 2016 a most unusual statement that triggered racial "insults and harassment" against them.
"It's not right that Ms. Markle gets into a relationship with him for a few months to face such a storm," said his communications secretary, Jason Knauf.
"This is not a game – it's her life and being."
The angry statement, which went far beyond the lengths Harry had for former girlfriends, confirmed how seriously he treated this relationship.
Finally, Harry proposed in November 2017.
The couple spent a cozy night in Nottingham Cottage, the two bedroom home They now share a chicken on the grounds of London's Kensington Palace.
"It was just an amazing surprise, it was so cute and natural and very romantic, he got on one knee," said the actress.
Markle said yes, before Harry had suggested or even produced the ring.
They announced their engagement on November 27 last year and they quickly became integrated into the royal family. spending her first official public appearance with Harry on December 1st and Christmas with the family.
The couple will throw themselves into causes they want, while Harry has suggested that their common focus will be on the Commonwealth, especially youth.
