Continuation of the story

The Titles ranged from Pope Francis' environmental anthology in 2015 to "Laudato Si" and Rachel Carson's groundbreaking environmental book "Silent Spring" Two copies of Global Warming for Dummies, a 2008 entry in the popular Explainer series.

A couple of alternative titles were al So Pruitt sent him.

"To Scott Pruitt – Best regards to a & # 39; hot topic & # 39; read the inscription by Harlow A. Hyde, who gives him a copy of his book "Climate Change: A Brief History of the Last 50 Million Years," which argues that global warming will increase precipitation and boost the economy by increasing crop yields.

The books arrived in March 2017, just weeks after Pruit's EPA was confirmed. Many seem to have arrived at EPO headquarters without any explanation, but a few letters included.

"As a 27-year-old, my colleagues and I on this planet have to live much longer than many who make decisions about their future – please remember how you do your job," wrote the person, Pruitt "Silent Spring "sent.

It seems that the EPA has tried to return at least some of the books sent to Pruitt.

A letter from Douglas Reynolds, professor of oil and energy at the School of Management at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, complains as a consultant gave a copy of Reynolds' self-published book on energy in the Soviet Union in 2016.

"By saying that this book is a gift, you have effectively censored my academic freedom to tell you the facts of any research," Reynolds wrote. "This is a violation of my first right to free speech in the context of my 'academic responsibility' towards my community as a professor of energy."

The reverse of Reynolds' book contains a quote from the "Manifesto of the Communist Party" by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.

Some sent pitches along with their copies of books. E. Freya Williams, CEO of Futerra North America, a sustainability strategy company, urged Pruitt to take wind and solar energy with a copy of her book Green Giants, which she attributed to the Green Giant. #MAGA. "

" Forget "Drill Baby Drill". It's time for "Shine Baby Shine". It's time for Trump Power. The future is rosy, "wrote Williams in a letter along with the book.
