Queens of the Stone Age front man Josh Homme shared a letter that celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain wrote on Twitter to his daughter on Friday with his fans
The tweet contained the overprint of the letter and a statement by Homme how much he missed the late Bourdain, who was found dead on 8 June.
"Tony, I miss you badly Once Camille [Homme’s daughter] was so angry with you She defended me and you were too Defend me Just like we did and over the years do many times for each other & you with great care, such empathy, such sweetness … She apologized to a little girl who defended her father Ariane, [Bourdain’s daughter] that was your father, humble, Joshua.
Bourdain's letter to Camille was an apology after the young girl had seen a promo for his show "No Reservations," in which Bourdain hit a guitar.Camille, now 1
"You saw me take Daddy's guitar and hit a tree, and I'm sure" Bourdain wrote
He explained that the guitar stroke is an allusion to the movie "Animal House In the comedy, John Belushi was seen smashing a man's guitar at a party. "
"I know that was indeed, not really Daddy's guitar, and that we both are just playing around," Bourdain wrote.
The celebrity chef said Homme would have been angry if he had smashed one of his guitars and joked that he "strongly suspected I would not be here to write this letter."
Bourdain said he liked Homme "very" and the two were good friends. He also said he always had the rocker back. Bourdain concluded the letter and said that Homme never got drunk while he was filming the show, even though they drank a lot of tequila. He also said he was a good cook and asked what he cooked for her.
"He's also a pretty good cook – though you know that for sure now – cooking my daughter's grilled cheese sandwiches – what's your daddy cooking for you?" Castle Bourdain.
