The NFL announced the decision of appellant Derrick Brooks on Wednesday after a hearing on Tuesday in which the Raiders supported Burfict.

Burfict was initially considered a harsh penalty after beating the Colts last week rated what he was ejected for having hit a defenseless Doyle. This added another chapter to the long history of linebackers with dirty hits.

The NFL, which clearly cooperates with Burfict, did not stop to judge Burfict's behavior during the game and in the past.

From NFL Vice President for Football Operations Jon Runyan's Letter to Burfict:

There was no extenuating circumstance in this piece. Their contact was unnecessary, flagrant and should have been avoided. You were punished and excluded from the game for your actions. After each of your previous violations, you and each of the joint Appointment Officers warned you that future violations would lead to escalated accountability measures. However, they have continued to openly violate rules designed to protect you and your opponents from unnecessary risks.

Burfict's outlook for his appeal became even dimmer as the NFL did not reveal so subtly that they had found another hit from helmet to helmet in the Colts game that Burfict had evidently escaped.

The now official punishment for an illegal hit in NFL history is unprecedented. Burfict seems to have more than earned in his eight-year NFL career.

Suspension is the Latest Vontaze Burfict's Many Punishments

There was a reason why Burfict's notable defenders in terms of suspension were basically his own team and Bill Romanowski.

For years, Burfict has left dangerous hits, with previous hits like after Steeler's recipient Antonio Brown in a playoff game and the knees of his own teammate or his own teammate Giovani Bernard in training. This story goes back to college and has resulted in 16 personal fouls in his last 26 games in the State of Arizona.

According to Spotrac, Burfict has garnered more than $ 4.2 million between fines and game checks. Go with this latest punishment.
