Atlanta rapper Rudolph Johnson, better known as Lil Marlo, is dead, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office.
The doctor’s office confirmed to NBC News on Sunday morning that a deceased person named Rudolph Johnson had been brought in for the past 24 hours after reports of the rapper’s death surfaced. Johnson was reportedly 27 years old, although the doctor’s office told NBC News that he was 30 years old.

The Atlanta Police Department confirmed that officials found a 30-year-old man who was shot in a vehicle on I-285 near the Benjamin E. Mays Drive flyover after responding to a call for an Saturday night accident would have. The police did not confirm the man’s identity.
The division believed the driver had been deliberately shot, and the division’s murder investigators are investigating the incident.
Johnson was an upcoming artist who appeared on stage in 2017 with “2 Hard the Way”, a collaboration with his girlfriend Lil Baby. The rapper recently released his album “1st and 3rd”, which he promoted on his Instagram profile.
Johnson published a series of photos and videos with his children on Father’s Day entitled “Thank you for making me your father, I would not trade you for Da World.”
Fans and fellow artists mourned Johnson on social media, including his label colleague Lil Yachty from Quality Control Music, who said the two recently worked on music together. Pierre Thomas, CEO of Quality Control Music, also shared a photo of Johnson as a tribute on his Instagram Sunday.
