NEW YORK – Rapper Tekashi69, arrested in Rikers Island's contagious unit after he was arrested in New York City for allegedly choking a 16-year-old in a mall, was bailed out, it said Friday
The news of his shelter and his bail was first reported by TMZ and confirmed by PIX11 news sources.
The 22-year-old Brooklyn rapper, whose maiden name is Daniel Hernandez, is isolated in the Ripper Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was arrested in July 2018 on an arrest warrant in Texas, sources said.
The unit mainly accommodates sick or sick occupants of prominent inmates who can not be held in the general population. One source confirms that Tekashi69 can only contact proofreaders while he is behind bars.
It is possible that the rappers may be held at Rikers until his next hearing, scheduled for July 20, may be extradited to Texas to bring charges.
On Friday he was granted bail.
