Not too proud – The life and times of temptations celebrated its official opening on March 21 at the Imperial Theater on Broadway. The musical combines the hits of the group with a book by Dominique Morisseau to document the journey from humble beginnings in Detroit to the theater Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
McAnuff directs one of Derrick Baskin ( Memphis ) as Otis Williams, James Harkness ( Beautiful ) as Paul Williams. Jawan M. Jackson ( Motown ) as Melvin Franklin, Jeremy Pope ( Choir Boy ) as Eddie Kendricks and Ephraim Sykes Hamilton as David Ruffin.
