FORT WORTH, Texas (KBTX) – A Fort Worth meat packaging business is forced to recall more than 7,100 pounds of raw beef produced and packaged without federal control.
On Saturday, the US Department of Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of PFP Enterprises LLC – also operating as Texas Meat Packers – said the company will sell both fresh and frozen beef products, which will be available on the 23rd and 24th. March of this year, recalled
. The FSIS states that the health risk is high, which means that consuming the products could result in serious health problems or death.
The recalled products include beef that can be used in tacos and fajitas locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin.
While no side effects have been reported, FSIS is inviting anyone who has one to contact a health care provider [1
