RED Hydrogen One will finally start shipping pre-orders this week after a few delays. But if you can not wait until then, the full datasheet for the phones has leaked through a new infographic about UberGizmo a little early.
While we've met some parts of it before, it's nice to see everything in one place. Most specifications are equal for a high-end Android phone in 2018: 128GB of memory, 6GB of RAM, a fierce 4,500mAh battery, aluminum (or titanium, though this model is further delayed), stereo speakers and a 5.7-inch display with 2560 x 1440 resolution.
The sheet does not mention it, but RED has previously announced that the Hydrogen One will ship with last year's Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip instead of the latest Snapdragon 845, which is a bit disappointing since it has a $ 1,195 smartphone.
But there are also features that make Hydrogen One even more unique, such as the so-called "4V" display, which offers a kind of "holographic" view, although RED was not clear on exactly how this technology works. There are also details on the cameras that will be able to shoot the 4V stills and video: dual 8.3-megapixel front lenses and dual 12.3-megapixel rear-shooter. The whole thing is rounded off by a POGO pin connector for the connection of modular add-ons, whereby the details here are still small.
It's more than a little bizarre that RED is shipping cell phones to customers this week without officially releasing full specifications. But considering that all the people who have pre-ordered have already spent a minimum of $ 1,195 on the Hydrogen One unseen, it's unlikely that any actual numbers will make a big difference to the first wave of owners.
