Redskins RB Adrian Peterson inactive against Eagles

The Redskins revived Adrian Peterson's career and then gave him a big new job. And now, in his first game in 2019, he will not be on the pitch.

Sources say Peterson may be an inactive surprise as the Redskins play against the Eagles today. After rising 1,042 meters last year and averaging 4.2 meters per rush on a comeback season, Peterson is expected to watch from the sideline.

Darrius Guice, who was left behind in the second year, will be the starter, and coach Jay Gruden was pronounced as to how to focus on Guice.

"We believe he can be first, second and even third," Gruden told reporters this week. "I think the offense, which turns out to be wise, is likely to go through him."

Peterson, 34, will be outside and looking inward. And it's everyone's guess how he'll react to his fate. Asked by reporters this week if Peterson could be inactive, Gruden said, "We'll make that decision on Sunday." Concentrating on his status, Peterson said, "At the end of the day, I'm pleased to do what they ask me to do, that's all I can do."

Peterson signed a two-year pre-season contract worth up to $ 8 million. Of that, $ 1

.5 million was guaranteed, and now another $ 1 million is guaranteed because he's on the roster for Week One.
