Days after announcing his candidacy for the Oval Office on ABC's "The View," Democratic MP Tim Ryan from Ohio held a kick-off rally Saturday, emphasizing his goal of "bringing together a divided country."
"My name is Tim Ryan and I fight for the President of the United States of America," he said to start the event, and called to the crowd.
Ryan emphasized throughout his speech in Youngstown, Ohio, that the US had become divided and claimed that there were some politicians who "tried to divide us" and "put us in one box or another" ,

SEND. "I'm tired of having to decide," he said. "I want us to come together as a country."
He said that when he takes over the presidency, he always sees the problems of the public as his own and "works on them every day" to improve people's lives. [1

"I can win western PA, I can win Ohio. I can win Michigan. I can win Wisconsin. That means Donald Trump returns to Mar-a. "-Lago full-time," Ryan said on the show.

He also described himself as "a progressive man who knows how to talk to workers."
Ryan gained national prominence in 2016 when he issued an unsuccessful challenge to depose Nancy Pelosi as leader of the Democratic House.
