Toxicologists say this is impossible, according to a report by the Detroit Free Press.
"If Dr. Andrew Stolbach, a medical toxicologist, a fentanyl exposure expert and emergency physician at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, according to the report.  The Detroit Free Press said Dr. Ryan Marino, an Emergency Medicine Physician and Toxicologist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical, said: "The Detroit Free Press has been contacted recently by Iowa, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Michigan Center, who said: "It's impossible to overdose from accidentally touching fentanyl." The odds are zero. "
The report says the toxicologists believe the reaction is fueled by panic created by believing myths about fentanyl exposure.
