Rescuers reach the Scout group after 2 lightning strikes



A rescue team in northern Minnesota hit a group of Boy Scouts early Saturday after two members of the group were hit by lightning. The Associated Press reported in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

<p>  All members of the group should be "alert, alert and able to move without assistance," the report said. At least two of the girls had suffered "serious" injuries, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. </p>
<p>  The Boy Scouts were between 15 and 18 years old. They were assisted by the St. Louis County Rescue Squad, the AP reported. </p><div><script async src=

Gov. Tim Walz was alerted to the situation and was following the developments.

A Girl Scout was killed in June and three others were injured when a tree toppled over at a campsite in Indiana.
