Capcom has shut down the hype around the Resident Evil multiplayer spin-off project "Resistance", but it does not look like you need an umbrella. While the forecast was uncertain when the Japanese publisher took the title at the beginning of the month, the Tokyo Game Show 2019 is sure to break a few hearts – because it's not the third installment in Outbreak's cult sub-series.  This confusing, asymmetrical multiplayer experience developed in collaboration with Taiwanese team NeoBards is less Dead by Daylight than Deception IV. While four players take on the role of the unlucky survivor, a mastermind is tasked with security cameras, his prey to track and drop traps.
A closed beta for PlayStation 4 owners runs from October 4 through October 7, and you can read more about how to register here, and in the meantime, have a look at the screenshots that are supposedly on the otherwise excellent RE Engine running looks rough, right? Let's hope that our first impressions are not in sync.
