Just a few days after Respawn released the first important balance patch for Apex Legends, they dropped a new developer update that touched on some of the community's biggest issues.
When Does Not Tell When Season One Begins To Begin, Respawn keeps its promise to periodically report on what's in the pipeline for Apex Legends pipeline.
The latest & # 39; Respawn Check In & # 39; contains some important information about issues like crashes, slow server performance, and more.
Apex Legends has loaded more than 50 million players into the game over the last month.
While a recent NVIDIA update removed some of the biggest crash issues for many players, AMD owners stayed in the cold.
Respawn confirmed this with the March 8 update, and assured players that the next PC patch will include some much-needed crash enhancements.
Not all issues are resolved, but a Season 1 reporting feature is teased, which will help Respawn make further improvements.
It is no secret that Apex Legends has a big problem with hackers. 16,000 were banned in the first two weeks of publication.
It was confirmed by Respawn that more than 355,000 players were banned on March 8, but they made it clear that this is "a perpetual war that [they’ll] must continue to adapt to."
Crashes and cheats in the first month of the game were some of the biggest problems in Apex Legends.
Will there be a new connection soon?
Given the number of crashes players are experiencing, a reconnect function would seem like the perfect way to ensure that players do not leave teams behind.
Unfortunately, Respawn closed this opportunity by confirming that the feature was "not currently tracked".
They may have called abuse and the number of resources needed as the main reasons that it's not on the internet at the moment.
Poor Server Performance
Eventually, Respawn reported poor performance reports at the start of a match, stating that they "are limiting causes and making improvements."

Before we go to the weekend, we wanted to address some topics:
CHEATERS From today we have I have over 355,000 players on the PC banned by Easy-Anti-Cheat. The ministry works, but the fight against cheaters is a perpetual war that we must continue to adapt to and need to be very vigilant. We take scams very seriously and attach great importance to the health of Apex Legends for all players.
We're working on improvements to fight cheaters, and we have to keep our plans pretty secret. Scammers are skilled and we do not want them to see us coming. With these words, we can share some important things that we do:
- We turn to experts in and outside of EA, in this area that we can learn from.
- Scale Our anti-cheat team has more resources.
- We add a reporting feature on the PC to report cheaders in the game, which goes straight to Easy-Anti-Cheat.

Next week, AMD will be in the studio and just as we have visited with Nvidia, we will work together to ensure the stability and improve performance on the PC. With the next client patch on the PC, we will address some of the known crashes, but there is still a lot to do, as we have not noticed any crashes yet. In the first season, we will add improved reporting to help us identify and eliminate more PC crash issues.
I saw it shared here, but if anyone missed it, Nvidia released a driver update for RTX users We've witnessed the crash of DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG specifically for GeForce RTX cards, and we're still working with Nvidia to improve performance and stability.
We have heard the suggestions from you request a reconnect with the appropriate function. We are currently not pursuing this for a number of reasons:
- There is a great risk for players to abuse it.
- We believe that the resources needed to build, test, and publish are better spent solving for stability issues, so the feature is not necessary.
SLOW SERVER PERFORMANCE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME
We have seen these reports, limiting the causes and making improvements. If this could be fixed by spending money on faster / more servers, we would do so, but unfortunately there is no silver bullet on this server. We just roll up our sleeves and dig in. We keep you up to date on the progress we make.
I wish you a great weekend and be excellent! We meet next week.
