NEWPORT County braved Manchester City on Rodney Parade yesterday but lost the fifth round of the FA Cup 1-4.
After a formidable defeat by Middlebrough in their last re-match, fans rushed up to the next round and flocked to Rodney Parade and the Newport venues to watch the match.

Newport County's FA Cup adventure is over, but Team Manager Michael Flynn has praised his team.

Mr. Flynn said, "I am very proud of the team, they were outstanding.
"I have a very good group of players and I can not speak highly enough about them."
