Robert Mueller files a conviction of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn over Trump

Special Counsel Robert Mueller's office is expected to file a verdict on Tuesday against former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, which will include the Special Counsel's recommended sentence. The memo is also likely to show the extent of Flynn's cooperation with the government after admitting in December 1945 that he lied to the FBI about his contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Beyond explored the scale of Flynn's collaboration with Mueller could provide insight into what the Special Adviser had found in his May 201

7 study.

Flynn, who previously served as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and a prominent representative was supporter of President Trump during the presidential campaign, was appointed as a National Security Advisor during the transition. In December 2016, before Mr. Trump took office, Flynn twice contacted Kislyak to encourage Russia to block a United Nations Security Council resolution against settlements in Israel. He again contacted Kislyak after President Barack Obama announced sanctions against Russia for electoral interference and called on the Russian government not to seek revenge, according to court documents. The day after Flynn spoke with Kislyak, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a statement that Russia would not participate in the sanctions.

In early 2017, news came that Flynn had contact with Kislyak during the transition. Elected Vice President Mike Pence told "Face the Nation" that Flynn and Kislyak had not discussed sanctions. Shortly after Mr. Trump took office, FBI agents visited Flynn and he denied discussing sanctions with the Russian ambassador and denied asking Russia to block the Security Council vote.

Acting Attorney General Sally Yates warned the White House that Flynn had lied to the FBI, but the president refused to take action for weeks. On 13 February 2017, after the Washington Post reported that Flynn and Kislyak were discussing sanctions, Mr. Trump released Flynn.

When Mueller was appointed Special Adviser in May, he examined both Flynn's talks with Kislyak and his Foreign Trade . Flynn finally concluded an agreement and agreed to cooperate with the investigation.

The year Flynn worked with Mueller, there were several other developments in the investigation of special lawyers. Former Trump campaign official Rick Gates agreed to work with the probe in in February. The Ministry of Justice accused of several Russian activists for spreading political disinformation in the social media. Former Trump campaign leader Paul Manafort was charged with pleading in August for financial crimes. Later, he pleaded guilty to conspiracy and obstruction of justice and said he would work with the government to avoid a second trial. Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to violating treaty violations in August and lying to Congress.
