Rodger Bumpass, the voice of Thaddaeus, allegedly introducing the Super Bowl Halftime Show

While football fans are looking forward to Sunday's Super Bowl LIII, these are SpongeBob SquarePants fans and for good reason. Many believe that Maroon 5's mid-term performance will be an epic allusion to the animated series, and now there's another clue hinting that they're not wrong.

Rodgers Bumpass, Squidward's spokesman, is said to have shared a number of Facebook posts announcing that Squidward will be launching the halftime show. However, CNET points out that Bumpass's posts are not public and therefore difficult to confirm.

If so, this would be an unusual choice, but this message does not come in a vacuum. There are a few other trifles that suggest that SpongeBob and his friends from Bikini Bottom have a role to play at halftime. First, fans have submitted a petition to SpongeBob creator Stephen Hillenbug during halftime. Hillenburg died in November and since then there have been over a million signatures calling for Maroon 5 to play "Sweet Victory" in their half-time show.

The song is from Season 2's episode "Band Geeks," in which SpongeBob and his friends play the song as a midterm entertainment in their world version of the Super Bowl ̵

1; the Bubble Bowl. The speculation that it could actually cause a fire was fueled – the venue of the game – the Atlanta Mercedes-Benz Stadium – tweeted a SpongeBob GIF from every episode in December. Earlier this month, Maroon 5 themselves shared a small teaser video for the upcoming event with a video that contained a few seconds of a random SpongeBob clip.

All these little things together have fans, the "Sweet Victory" becomes reality – and odds could only be in their favor. An online betting pool puts the odds that "sweet victory" will be played in the Super Bowl, "yes" at minus 220 and "no" at plus 155. Sounds like it's going to happen, it's going to be a real win for fans and betting fans.

Fans will surely find out if we will get a SpongeBob moment "Sweet Victory" on CBS on Sunday at Super Bowl LIII and be sure that you know that this will happen in the following comments.
