When Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled was unveiled at the 2018 Game Awards, it was originally considered an exclusive PlayStation program. Not long after, Activision confirmed that the game would be released on all platforms simultaneously on June 21, 2019, including the Switch. At that time, there was a collective sigh of Nintendo fans.
While everything seemed fine In the switch version of the game, this may not seem to be the case. A few days ago, GoNintendo reported that several retailers had canceled the pre-order options for the Switch version of CTR ̵
This has triggered speculation that the CTR for the switch will not be released on that date. If that is the case, it would not be particularly surprising given past events. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was a time-lapse exclusive and was first released on the PlayStation 4 in 2017. A year later it appeared on the switch and several other platforms. As for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy after a series of rumors it still has to go on the Nintendo hybrid platform. Once again, the last last date provided by Activision for CTR on Switch is consistent with the release on other platforms.
