TJ Oshie did not play in the fifth game, but was in the spirit. Oshie, who was "indefinitely excluded" after an alleged broken collarbone, tweeted before the game that he wanted to cheer on Capital fans loud enough to hear through the TV. The fans responded by singing Oshie's name in a deafening roar as the Capitals shut out the sticks.
However, this was not the only tribute to Oshie. Prior to the game, Redskin's linebacker directed Ryan Kerrigan fans of Capitals in a "Let's go caps" song that he ended by flipping his jersey over his head and a beer through his jersey chugged, a clear tribute TJ Oshies now famous celebration.

Oshie responded to the Kerrigan's rendition on Twitter after the game.
