Critical Tweets by Meghan Markle We'll meet again.
No Surprise, Meghan's Half-Sister Samantha Markle beat the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry (1
It was not so much what Meghan and Harry's Christmas card said that gave Meghan cause for criticism, but instead said what it said . Or rather, what has not been shown.
The Duke and Duchess' Christmas card featured a never before seen photo of the couple on their wedding night as the two stared into the distance and gazed at firecrackers. Meghan and Harry's arms are intertwined, but we only see them from behind. Their faces are not visible.
This provided more than enough food for Samantha to start a Twitter tirade against her half-sister.
Kensington Palace tweeted the Christmas card photo and 53-year-old was pretty apt to comment. "Interesting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex turned their backs," she wrote. "Is that the world or just the Ragland and Markle family? It's a bit sad. Face the Christmas spirit."
Previously, Samantha had criticized Meghan's mother Doria Ragland in other tweets previously. However, the former suits star has an incredibly close bond to his mother.
Meghan's half-sister continues to call the royals in another group of tweets. She wrote on Saturday, "It's unbelievably rude to turn your back on a Christmas photo that wants to share warmth and good wishes with the world, and those who criticize me for pointing out the truth need the brown stuff of take the nose I hear the smallest violin in the world. The idea of "turning one's back" continued on Saturday in a third tweet. "Turn your back on people on a Christmas card," she wrote. "If you want to be private, you do not do it on a Christmas card, but the world sees it, it's like saying Santa Claus is having a Merry Christmas."
Samantha's negative words about Meghan and the Royals are not new. There were also few attempts to expand an olive branch.
In October, Samantha flew to London and tried to get into Kensington Palace to deliver a letter to the Duchess. Later, however, she was rejected by the palace administration. In an interview on October 1, she said, "I've always wanted to see London, but actually I wanted to travel and express the wishes, thoughts and feelings of my father and hopefully send a message to my sister."
She continued, "I had hoped that we might have a chance to speak – that she would know that I was here, but I do not think that will happen."
A few weeks later Samantha apologized for "past tensions," but then called Meghan a "liar" after giving a speech on her royal tour of the South Pacific in Fiji.
Samantha was one of her father's greatest defenders, Thomas Markle . She even brought it up in another tweet about Meghan and asked, "How about if you could reach our older dad while doing good with the humanitarian mask?"
He did not attend the royal wedding and did not do so was vocal about his estranged relationship with Meghan. In an interview with The Mail on Sunday last week, he criticized the royal family and insisted that Meghan and Harry "set up a wall of silence."
He had a wish and a request to Meghan: "If you only spoke to me, things could be different."
