KUALA LUMPUR, June 11 – The Galaxy Fit officially costs RM369 and features a 0.95-inch AMOLED full-color display with a resolution of 120 × 240 pixels.
Samsung, the Galaxy Fit is a 24/7 Life Tracker because it not only provides activity tracking but also automatic sleep tracking.
It supports automatic workout tracking of up to 6 activities and you have the option to select up to 10 favorite activities from over 90 activity options through the Samsung Health App.
In terms of sensors, it has a built-in heart rate monitor, accelerometer and gyroscope.
The Galaxy Fit can monitor the level of stress and it can also warn you when your resting heart rate peaks. Unfortunately, there is no built-in GPS.
The tape has a water resistance of 5 ATM, which means that it can be submerged for up to 50 meters for 10 minutes.
For better durability, it is also equipped with military standard MIL-STD 810G certification. Not only can you track your fitness and well-being, but you can also receive notifications and send preset responses from your wrist.
With a 120mAh battery, the Galaxy Fit will last up to 7-8 days in normal use and up to 11 days in low use. By default, it runs under Realtime OS instead of Tizen OS. The Galaxy Fit can be combined with Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 5.0+ and iPhone models running iOS 9.0+.
Samsung Galaxy Fit-e
If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, the Galaxy Fit-e costs only RM139.
It has a smaller 0.74-inch PMOLED monochrome display and lacks a gyroscope.
The rest of the features is similar to what it is also Auto Workout Tracking and Auto Sleep Tracking. The Galaxy Fit-e also has heart rate monitoring and 5-ATM water resistance, as well as MIL-STD 810G certification.
The Galaxy Fit-e can show notifications but it does not seem to do so. The battery capacity is less with 70 mAh, which has a life span of up to 6-7 days in normal use.
