After a restaurant in Virginia reportedly kicked out White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family on Friday night, reviewers swarmed to their Facebook and Yelp pages for feedback.
On Friday night, Jaike Foley-Schultz, allegedly a waiter at The Red Hen, a Washington Street restaurant in Lexington, noted that Facebook was being prevented from eating at their facility.
"I served Sarah Huckabee Sanders a total of 2 minutes before my owner kicked her along with 7 of her other family members …" he wrote.
Later that evening, Brennan Gilmore, managing director of Clean Virginia, posted the story on his Twitter page, which lured more than 15,000 likes and 4,000 retweets. "@PressSec was thrown out of the Red Henne restaurant in Lexington, Va, tonight, apparently the owner did not want to serve her and her group out of moral conviction," he wrote.
Shortly thereafter, hundreds of reviews began to flood the Red Hens Yelp and Facebook pages of Democrats and Republicans stars to five stars. Most reviewers thanked the restaurant for its moral attitude.
"I can not wait to visit this facility when I pass by in July of what I have Listen, they have great morality and respect for human decency, that's my kind of place, "Mashay Clart wrote next to a five-star review.
Michelle Miller commented, "Thank you for doing the right thing, this administration deserves to be ashamed and shunned everywhere."
"I can not thank you enough for what you have done little power as a consumer to send a political message, they took the opportunity to let Sarah Huckabee Sanders know that her lies and her lack of moral courage are not tolerated by ordinary people, "Annalize Rickman added. "Thank you again for your position, I hope the setback will not be too bad for you."
However, some critics have criticized the establishment for having abused Sanders and her family.
"I saw the owner refuse the service of Sarah Huckabee Sanders because he is a Democrat and can not be a decent person, what an idiot," Solomon Sanchez wrote next to a one-star review.
Valarie Waskom added, "Rude, bigoted, hateful employees and owners. What a disappointment."
During a press conference last week CNN Brian Karem Sanders asked if she had "empathy" for the immigrant children who were taken away from their parents under the harsh conditions of the Trump administration have immigrant policies. "I'm trying to be serious, but I'm not going to upset you," Sanders replied, wiping the question before moving to another reporter.
