A new intercontinental ballistic missile, served by Russian President Vladimir Putin when she was able to fly over the North or South Pole and hit any target in the world, was tested for the second time on Friday ,
Russia's Ministry of Defense has been released a video allegedly shooting down the Sarmat ICBM in a spectacular manner from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the northern province of Arkhangelsk. The move came just hours after the Kremlin expelled 60 American diplomats and the US Consulate in St. Petersburg in retaliation for the US closed measures in response to the poisoning of a former Russian spy and his daughter in the UK
The video shows the rocket NATO calls "Satan 2" – rising from the ground and seemingly hovering in the air Short moment before more flames erupt and massive clouds of smoke and snow rise.
"No defense systems will be able to stand it," Putin said about the Missile in early 1965, he rang his speech on the People's Republic.
The test started after Putin's recent re-election and a congratulatory call from President Trump – in which Trump allegedly warned his Russian counterpart, "If you want an arms race, we can do that, but I'll win," two officials said who talked to NBC News. Days before the launch, the US Navy fired its own ICMB from a ballistic missile submarine off the coast of Southern California.
Russia has been working for years on the development of a new ICBM, which replaces the Soviet-designed Voyevoda heaviest ICBM and known as "Satan" in the West. This ICBM carries 10 nuclear warheads, reported Associated Press. Putin announced during his speech in March that the Sarmat rocket would undergo tests and debuted a video allegedly showing his first test launch, which happened in December.
Putin said Sarmat weighs 220 tons and has a higher range than "Satan" to fly it over both poles of the earth. He also said that it accelerates faster than its predecessor, making it more difficult for an enemy to intercept it in its most vulnerable phase after takeoff. Putin added that Sarmat also has more – and more powerful – nuclear warheads than the "Satan" ICBM.
The Russian state news agency TASS has reported that the Sarmat rocket will go into production in 2020 and is expected to go into operation a year later, according to EuroNews
"No one has listened to us, they are listening to us now", Putin boasted during the March speech, when he revealed other weapons his country apparently has in operation, such as an underwater drone equipped with a nuclear warhead strong enough to dispose of shore installations and aircraft carriers, and a nuclear-powered cruise missile, the "for existing or future air and missile defense systems invulnerable ".
The White House responded to Putin's speech in March by saying he merely confirmed what the US already knows: that Russia has been developing "destabilizing weapon systems in direct violations of its treaty obligations" for over a decade.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said President Trump understands the threats and that America "is moving forward to modernize our nuclear arsenal and ensure that our capabilities are unmatched."
Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White also said the Defense Department was not surprised by Putin's anger. The US military is ready to defend the nation.
"You have to assess this new reality and be convinced that what I said today is not a bluff," Putin had said. "It's not a bluff, trust me."
He said the creation of the new weapons had "rendered useless" US-led missile defense, which he described as a year-long Western effort to divert and weaken Russia
"I want to tell everyone who has been in the last 15 years Years have fueled the arms race to gain unilateral advantages over Russia, have introduced illegal restrictions and sanctions to curb the development of our country: all you wanted to prevent your policy is now happening, "he said. "They have failed to contain Russia."
State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said it was "unfortunate" to see an animation that "accompanied an atomic attack on the United States" and described the video as "cheesy." we do not believe it is responsible.
Another new weapon that Putin unveiled during Avangard's State of the Union speech is an intercontinental hypersonic missile that would fly at 20x the speed of sound and hit its targets "Like a meteorite, like a fireball"
