Detroit – With the game deferred against the Pirates Saturday – The second wiped out in three days Bad weather – The Tigers now have six games to play in the next five days.

Not what a team is looking for at the start of a long, six-month season.

The tigers and pirates will be delayed on Saturday with a split-double shader on Sunday – seasons are scheduled for 1:10 pm and 6:10 pm All paid tickets from Saturday will be valid for the second game on Sunday.

The deluge of games coming so soon after spring training can force manager Ron Gardenhire and wreck coach Chris Bosio to easily reconfigure the starting turn.

Saturday's scheduled Matching Matchup – Tigers right-hander Michael Fulmer vs. Pirates right-hander Trevor Williams – will draw for the first game on Sunday ,

As for the second game, the tigers list their starter as TBA. Left-hander Francisco Liriano should start on Sunday. He can be pushed back.

With the make-up double header, both teams can add a 26th player. The Tigers may choose to call someone out of the Triple A roster to start a launch – left Chad Bell and Ryan Carpenter would be candidates.

Logistics can be a problem though. The Triple A season starts next weekend and Toledo opens on the road in Louisville.

But if the Tigers use a spot starter in Game 2, the Tigers Jordan Zimmerman and Fulmer could rest regularly. Liriano and Daniel Norris would probably compete against the Royals on Monday and Tuesday.

The rotation would then turn around and stay intact.
