The San Diego State Baseball team has made a sports department auditorium their annual venue.
This is where SDSU players and coaches gather to watch the NCAA Selection Show. It's a festive atmosphere because the Aztecs are sweating, whether they're going to one of 16 Regionals. They are the result of winning the Mountain West Tournament Championship. The only question was where they got their heads.
SDSU was forced to wait until the final region was revealed, and watched dozens of other schools that went to the blackboard before saying "San Diego St."

SDSUI (39-19) meets LSU (37-25) to open the double elimination tournament on Friday Oregon State (44-10) becomes Northwestern (37-22) in the other game on Friday at Corvallis Regional
This is the 14th NCAA Region's appearance in school history for SDSU and its fifth voyage in the last six years, and is the product of winning the Mountain West Tournament Championship in 2013-15 and 2017-18.  This year's title was delivered on Saturday night with a 14-5 win over UNLV at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
The Aztecs are expected by Garrett Hill, who started the opening match of the conference tournament and was the team's most consistent starter this season in the first half of the season with a 6-0 lead and thus made the best start since Stephen Strasburg in 2009.
