Rare recently crowned the first pirate legend for Sea of Thieves, but players seem to disagree. Complaints flooded the social media as gamers promoted the #NotMyPirateLegend hashtag to attract the attention of both Microsoft and game developers. Sea of Thieves | YouTube )
Sea of Thieves has been on the shelves for more than a week, but Rare recognizes the title's first pirate legend with a reservation [1
There was already a lot of publicity before the start of the game, which led to mixed opinions among the players. They criticized the controversial performance due to the use of some exploits that led them to promote #NotMyPirateLegend on social media platforms.

As I said, the game has its fair share of problems and highlights. Earlier this year, Microsoft apparently vexed video store owners when it decided to integrate first-party-developed titles with its Xbox Game Pass service.
The move received complaints from retailers pointing out the profit losses when the company prevailed with its plan. However, it appears that Microsoft was not surprised by the threats and that the Open Sea pirate game was first included in the subscription service.
In addition, feedback from players indicates that the game looks like it lacks content. Most of the expected in-game features are missing from the beginning, while others are promised to come up with future updates later.
Problems After Launch
Sales figures show that Sea of Thieves is Microsoft's newest bestselling IP. Among the many issues such as connectivity issues, a bug-busting development, the lack of a full-featured customization menu, barebones content, and accessibility issues with the Xbox Game Pass, the grim game seems to have found a niche.
Now, the newly-crowned pirate legend is the subject of controversy, as the players believed his trip there was unfair. Some find it amusing that people who play a game about pirates complain about fraud.
As the game aired on Twitch, players immediately noticed that Pro1gyX received help from their stream viewers, who apparently worked on treasures for him before joining their crew, turning the loot into a call to increase reputation ,
You're kidding me. This Prod1gyx kid gets a pirate legend by charging. He is not a pirate legend, he is a pirate scrubber. Do not Give This To Him, @RareLtd @SeaOfThieves

His progress eventually reached his reputation with the Trade Alliance, the Gold Tanks, and the Order of Souls. Once the requirements were met, the Mysterious Stranger recognized his status and rewarded him with access to the secret hiding place that is supposed to be the final game for the pirate adventure.
This act triggered a backlash by players pushing the #NotMyPirateLegend hashtag
With a large number of players posting complaints on social media using the #NotMyPirateLegend hashtag, Microsoft has and Rare (19659005) Sea of Thieves is designed to allow players to climb the ranks to legitimately claim the title. However, it seems that exploits are not taken into account in a timely manner.
