Pete Carroll is one of three NFL head coaches who have been fined heavily for not wearing face covering throughout Sunday’s game.
The NFL fined Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll $ 100,000 for violating the league’s new mask policy on Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
The Seahawks organization was fined an additional $ 250,000 after Carroll failed to wear a face covering on the sidelines of Seattle’s first home game during the coronavirus pandemic.
NFL reporter Tom Pelissero tweeted an NFL memo urging all coaches and staff in the banking area to “wear face-covering at all times”
Schefter reports that two other head coaches and teams have been fined $ 350,000: Denver Fangos coach Vic Fangio and San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan.
The Seahawks stopped new Patriots quarterback Cam Newton at the 1-yard line in the final game of Sunday’s game to score a 35:30 win over New England.
The Seahawks are now 2-0 in the season. Next, the Seahawks take on the Dallas Cowboys on an empty CenturyLink field.
