LVMPD officers have converted a Target store near the Blue Diamond Road and the Valley View Boulevard.
A family who witnessed the incident reported that a security guard fired on the Ross. The security guard dropped his vest and said he would come back for a manager and two other people.
The family says they hear shots minutes later and hide in the dressing rooms.
The police confirm that the warden has dismissed the store manager. The manager was not injured during the shooting.
Another witness reports that she saw the security guard sitting quietly on a bench. She says the guard put a gun to her head and told her not to go to the store.
The witness says she ran away after the confrontation. Minutes later, she saw the police pass by and heard five shots.
LVMPD reports that the suspect opened the fire on the police, and officers returned the fire and beat the suspect once. The suspect was taken to hospital and is currently undergoing surgery. His condition is unknown.
The witness has recorded the consequences.
Blue Diamond was temporarily closed between Valley View and Arville Street when the police investigated the scene. The road has now reopened, but the Valley View Boulevard north of Blue Diamond remains closed.
