In an unusual move, Sony has released one of the free PlayStation Plus games on PS4 in September. Instead of waiting for the first Tuesday of the month as usual (September 4, in this case), Sony has both announced the full line-up and offered one of the games for free: Destiny 2.
It's a clever move, The next big expansion of Destiny 2, Forsaken, will be released on September 4th. While you need to buy the DLC (along with the previous ones) to get the most out of the game, you can see what it's like and catch it until you can dive into the new expansion next week. Considering that leaving was positioned as the equivalent of the excellent Taken King DLC of the first Destiny, that's a tempting proposition.
This timing will continue to improve, according to the upcoming Gambit process. Gambit is the new mode in Forsaken, offering a mix of PvP and PvE. Before the start of Forsaken, all Destiny 2 players can try Gambit for 24 hours on September 1
st. Although you will not get the same rewards as Forsaken, you can at least get a taste of what you can do. Mode is everything. Remember that you have to buy the existing DLC to jump into Forsaken, which you also need to buy.

This PS Plus version comes just a day after launching a massive 2.0 update for Destiny 2. This outdates the weapons slot system and many other areas of the game. Bungie has also shared a roadmap for the DLC and free updates the year after the launch of Forsaken.
Joining Destiny 2 in September as PS Plus Freebie on PS4 is God of War III: Remastered. PS4 will receive a total of six new games as both PS3 games (Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition and Qube: Director's Cut) and Vita games (Sparkle 2 and Foul Play) support Cross-Buy.
