Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg joined the SurveyMonkey board in 2015, shortly after her husband and company CEO Dave Goldberg suddenly died on vacation in Mexico. Sandberg, who now owns 9.9 percent of the company, gives everything to charity.
The Sandberg and Goldberg Foundation, formerly known as the Lean In Foundation, focuses on two areas, both of which are treated in books by Sandberg. One is to help women progress and succeed in their professional lives by supporting equal pay, mentoring and sexual harassment initiatives. The other focuses on helping people who face adversity, whether it is grief and loss, imprisonment or divorce.
