  A mysterious signal indicates the existence of an unknown source of radiation. </strong></p>

Usually the intensity of the radiation falls with the frequency of the latter, but sometimes it is weakened more or vice versa (in the latter case we speak of absorption lines). However, the type of emission lines of a 3.5 Kev is still not installed because it does not correspond to the known photonic emission, that is the emission of light by an excited atom. As scientists believe, it is the result of the decay of sterile neutrinos – hypothetical particles that are one of the candidates for dark matter. If the data are confirmed (the results do not rule out statistical error), this may indicate that the Milky Way is surrounded by a bubble of dark matter.
