The brother of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles was charged with murder in connection with a shoot-out in Cleveland on New Year's Eve that killed three people and injured two others.
Cleveland's 24-year-old Tevin Biles-Thomas was fatally arrested on Thursday in Fort Stewart, Georgia Investigators detained on December 31
Biles-Thomas, an active member of the Army, has been repeatedly charged with murder, voluntary manslaughter and manslaughter Cuyahoga County Procurator Michael C. O. Malley congratulated Cleveland police after his arrest in Georgia which took place after nearly eight months of investigation.
"The relentless insistence of Cleveland Police detectives Homicide helped bring charges in this case," O'Malley told WKYC. "Through their hard work, we can begin to seek justice for these victims."
Biles-Thomas is being held at Liberty County Prison in Hinesville, Georgia. An indictment is scheduled for September 13 in Cleveland, although it is not known when it will be delivered.
It was not immediately clear if Biles-Thomas had a lawyer on Thursday night.
