We would take these pictures with a healthy dose of skepticism, but a relatively unprecedented release TechnoCodex shares images of supposedly prototypes of a 2018 iPhone model, supposedly from a manufacturer in India. The physical shape of the phone in the photos looks like the back of an iPhone X, with rounded bezel edges and vertically stacked dual camera with built-in flash, but in two pretty eye-catching new colors.
These photos claim that at least one of the flagships of the iPhone 2018 will be available in purple / purple and pastel green. The stainless steel frame is also just about visible and seems to be a shade of gold ̵

Prerequisite for additional colors for this year's iPhone models ( iPhone 11, iPhone X 2, whatever you call …) is not brand new. First of all, there is a historical precedent for Apple adding additional colors in the years when the design of the outside phone does not change significantly. With iPhone 6s, Apple added Rose Gold. With the iPhone 7, Apple added Jet Black and changed the Space Gray to a matte black finish.
A few months later, it also released a PRODUCT (RED) iPhone 7 that was redone this year with a special Red iPhone 8. By contrast, with major design changes such as the iPhone 6 or iPhone X, the company retained the same color options.
There is a rough pattern of behavior there. In fact, Apple has so far brought only Space Gray and Silver with the iPhone X on the market. We know the company was working on a gold model thanks to leaks and photos from the FCC official database. The pages of golden stainless steel seen in this leak are similar to what we see in these new photos. It seems likely that this gold SKU will debut later this year, possibly alongside other new colors.
We also heard some reports from analysts indicating that new colors on the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone X come esque device. The 6.1-inch LCD model is expected to be a cheaper model, around the 600-700 dollar mark that Apple will debut, as well as an update to the (currently $ 999) iPhone X and a brand new (more expensive ) 6.5-inch OLED "iPhone X Plus" Model
A wide variety of colors for the cheaper phones is also a tactic that Apple used earlier, namely iPhone 5c. The pastel shades that can be seen in these photos are certainly from the 5th century. There is a reasonable chance that these photos show cases / dummy models of the upcoming 6.1-inch iPhone, although the sourcing in Apple rumors so far has no track record. These could only be retrofits for the existing iPhone X.
The report states that the photos were taken from a factory in India that makes some sense, as Apple pushed ahead with production in the region last year. In general, however, most iPhones are produced by Foxtronn and Pegatron in China.
