Third-party peripherals company PDP has announced a series of stylish Nintendo Switch controllers developed after the classic GameCube key layout for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The series of three controllers has different color schemes and emblems that feature a few select characters: Red for Mario, Blue for Link, and Yellow for Pikachu.
The key layout is identical to the original GameCube, with a few smaller switch additions the Home and Capture button. A removable C-Stick can be swapped for a regular analog stick, depending on how old the GameCube look is. Nintendo has already announced its own official GameCube controller, and originals are still working, but they need a separate adapter. The PDPs, however, have a 1
PDP has not announced a release date, but says on the product page that these will be available in time for the holiday season. This will probably make them available in time for the release date of Smash Bros. Ultimate on December 7th.
Smash Bros. Ultimate earns its name with a block-by-block list of all playable characters ever appeared in a Smash Bros. game previously. It will also come next to a new Amiibo to collect and train. For more information, see our pre-order manual.
