The Pixel 4 XL has not stopped licking this week, and now we have another set of photos featuring the unannounced unpublished phone.
Several of the leaks we've seen this week have occurred in a Vietnam-based store that sells imported phones, called D Store Mobile. D Store declined to announce how it acquired an unpublished Pixel 4 XL, but said the phone was not a final unit and more likely a "test model." However, it is not a fake. D store said. Google did not respond to a request for comments.
The D Store has also sent over 21 images of the Pixel 4 XL that we have not previously released. Given how thoroughly this phone has leaked out, not necessarily new information is found here, but it provides further confirmation of the phone's specifications and the look of the white model. The phone will be announced in October.
If you know details about Pixel 4 that I do not know, send me an e-mail: [email protected]
One detail that I noticed on these photos I was already out there, but I have not seen that yet: If these details are correct, the rear main camera will get a slightly faster aperture and go from f / 1.8 to f / 1.73 on the pixel 4 pass pixel 3. Unfortunately, I have no technical data for the rumored telephoto camera. An earlier leak said it would use a 16 megapixel sensor, but I do not have a similarly detailed technical data display as seen for the main camera, which makes me wonder if the telesensor is one of the things that still does not work on this device ,
Another peculiarity: Leaks in the upcoming camera app suggest that the phone shoots by default in 16: 9 that photos can occupy the entire camera screen, although the sensor remains 4: 3. The effect is similar to that of Apple on the iPhone 11 models, which use the extra wide-angle lens of the phone to fill the screen. However, it seems to be a strange move on the pixel to take cropped images to get a UI effect.
The above app attempts to detect hardware components and display all details about them. It's not clear if it's exactly right, but the details are broadly in line with the rumors and existing pixel hardware. The telephoto lens is not visible on the photos we send and does not seem to be recognized.
