Source: Mets sending Omar Minaya to scout Brave's Double-A team on Thursday

A source tells SNY insider Andy Martino Omar Minaya to scout the Braves Double- A team in Jackson, Tenn. on Wednesday night.

Martino notes that the Braves have enough talent in their farm system to Noah Syndergaard Zack Wheeler, or Edwin Diaz .

Martino has been reporting on the Mets are open to keeping Wheeler (probably by the qualifying offer for the 2020 season) and trading Syndergaard.

Martino reported on Wednesday that the Yankees, Astros Padres , and Brewers are among the teams interested in Syndergaard, who was scoped heavily during his startup at Citi Field on Wednesday night.

Wheeler has posted a 4.69 ERA this season, but he's been dealing with a shoulder impingement.

Syndergaard has been better than his 4.33 ERA says, and he's been much better as of late, going into each of his last three outings.

Diaz has had a tumultuous start to his Mets' career, but he's shown signs of improvement in the second half. His season ERA currently sits at 6.81
