The Philadelphia Phillies are in talks with the Seattle Mariners on a deal with veteran Jay Bruce, a source on Saturday told Jeff Passan of ESPN.
Bruce achieves .212 this season with 14 homers and 28 RBIs. He has also played for the Mets, Indians and Reds throughout his 12-year career, hitting 300 homeruns with 903 RBIs.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, Bruce has a career of an average of 294 strokes at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, the only one behind the Minute Maid Park in Houston (.309) as his preferred venue.
