Deebo Samuel's dream has come true.
The senior recipient of South Carolina was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers with the No. 36 in the NFL Draft in 2019.
The Inman, SC, born in South Carolina, leaves South Carolina as one of the best playmakers in school history, earning All-SEC and All-America honors.
Samuel will be best remembered for his ability to score from almost every facet of the game. Samuel was a broad receiver in a running back body, scoring 28 career touchdowns, good for fourth place in school history, despite struggling injuries in the first three seasons of his career.

Samuel finishes eighth in Receptions (148), Tenth in Reception (2,076), Ninth in Touchdowns (16), Fourth in Touchdowns (28), First in the Kick Return Average (29,00) ), the first kick returns for touchdowns (4) and eights for general purpose yards (3.257). As a junior, Samuel was in an all-time season on pace as he scored six touchdowns and scored an average of 158.0 yards before breaking his leg in the third game of the season Samuel broke off his leg.
Samuel recovered as a senior and obtained 62 passes (tied for ninth in school history) for 882 yards (11) and 11 who had received touchdowns (second) while proving he remained healthy throughout the season could.
Samuel, who completed 30 games with 27 career starts, graduated in December in Commerce Management.
At the time, Samuel was a radar-based recruit, joining the South Carolina program at Chapman High School in 2014 as a three-star prospect and # 53 nationwide receiver, according to Rivals.com.
