Eleven people were killed in a car accident outside Polokwane in Limpopo.
According to Seabi Joel, spokesman for the MEC Dickson Masemola transport, the accident happened shortly after 06:00 on Sunday.

Two vehicles, a Bakkie and an SUV, were involved in a head-on collision.
It's unclear what caused the accident, Joel said.
He added that it was still unclear whether they were pedestrians and stated that the vehicle's carrying capacity was lower than the number of dead bodies, Joel said.
"The MEC was there this morning and expressed its condolences to the deceased families," he said.
