The Chevrolet Corvette C8 had already made history as the first mid-engine Corvette at launch, but everyone knew that the American brand had something up its sleeve. It seemed that the C8 would go down in history as one of the country's greatest achievements, and we would not disagree.
The C8 has a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated engine with a remarkable 369 kW and 637 Nm of torque. It does not sound like a rocket ship on paper, but thanks to a sophisticated technology, it can still get a speed of less than three seconds from 0 to 1
By default, everyone expected that a Z06 model would follow in the footsteps of the Z51, and it seems they were not wrong.
According to Automobile Magazine, the C8 Z06 will arrive in late 2021 and appear as Model 2022. Waiting for three years is a long time. If this information is correct, it is worth it.
Do not miss anything, click here to follow Driven on Instagram for news, a look behind the scenes, and much more on the Cadillac 4.2-liter Blackwing V8. At present, this engine is set for the CT6-V and generates only 410 kW and 867 Nm of torque.
When transferred to the C8, the revised engine would supposedly be called LT7 and have an alleged power of about 600 kW and a torque of 1000 Nm.
While you have to take these performance figures, a grain of salt, if the C7 Z06 is to pass by, will produce that charged animal 485 kW and a torque of 880 Nm, and we can imagine that Chevrolet will be this. I want to build on that ,
To support these performance modifications, we can imagine that the industry standard would be accompanied by extended guards, carbon fiber body panels, and aggressive front and rear bumpers.
As with most models on the C8 Z06, pricing has not been confirmed, but we can imagine it will be a little higher than the Z06 of $ 80,900 for 2019.
Considering the fact that the standard C8 Corvette is produced and sold in the right-hand drive, it will be interesting to see if this Z06 follows in his footsteps.
