CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – The International Space Station has accepted more than 7,000 pounds of supplies from Virginia.
A commercial cargo ship arrived at the orbit lab on Thursday, three days after the launch of Wallops Island.
Virginia Orbital ATK ships the goods for NASA in a Cygnus capsule named after the Swan constellation. The US crew of the space station used a large robotic arm to get the Cygnus out of orbit 250 miles.
The astronauts unload the food, equipment and scientific experiments and fill the capsule with garbage for a fiery re-entry in several weeks
Six men call the space station: three Americans, two Russians and one Japanese. Three of them will return to Earth in just over a week.
