SpaceX launch shock: NASA suspends Falcon 9 launch 15 minutes before takeoff | Science | news



SpaceX should launch a replenishment mission to the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, July 24th. The rocket launch was conducted for 23.24 BST (18.24 EDT) from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. However, bad weather and "adverse conditions" have forced NASA to cancel the start. Just minutes before the decision, NASA said, "The weather continues to cause concern as US Air Force meteorologists predict a 10 percent chance of favorable launch conditions for the US Air Force's 45th Space Wing." SpaceX will also provide a new docking adapter that will allow spacecraft to dock autonomously to the space station in the future.

Launching Falcon 9 was not the only failed rocket launch yesterday when SpaceX unsuccessfully attempted to launch its Starhopper prototype.
