Berman manager produces with Chris King about his Osprey Prods. Sony Pictures Television, whose leading actor Columbia Pictures produced the film in 1985, is the studio. The project has a scripting commitment from the network.

Elmo's Fire became a commercial success and a staple staple of pop culture that lasted for generations.
