Starbucks wants to solve all this bitcoin confusion.
The coffee chain, in an e-mail to tech and science publication Motherboard, said, "It's important to clarify that we do not accept digital assets at Starbucks, and we're announcing the start of Bitcoin's trading and conversion however, customers continue to talk with customers and regulators as the space evolves. […] Customers will not be able to pay Frappuccinos with Bitcoin. "
What Made This Statement Necessary
Starbucks announced on Friday that it is traded alongside Microsoft and International Exchange (owner of New York) in Bitcoin Stock Exchange), in a partnership called Bakkt. A series of headlines indicated that customers could pay with Bitcoin.
The excitement could have come about because, as Motherboard put it, "it's basically impossible to buy anything normal it [Bitcoin]."
But based on the later statement by Starbucks, it's closest that customers can expect that they will pay their coffee with Bitcoin ̵
Apart from the traditional cash payment or card customers currently have the option to pay Starbucks items with the chain's popular mobile app, which supplants Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung.
