Static waves appear on some OnePlus 6T displays (VIDEO)

Some posts found in the OnePlus Product Forum (via Android Police) complain of a static wave that some OnePlus 6T users see on their screens. These complaints date back to the first week of this month and now include a total of three pages of posts related to this issue. In addition, a video posted by a OnePlus 6T user a few weeks ago shows how this statics affects the ad (see the video at the top of this article.)

This problem with the OnePlus 6T seems to happen every time and then and so far it has affected a limited number of units. Some OnePlus 6T users have tried to fix the problem by resetting the phone to factory defaults. However, this did not prevent the appearance of the static wave. Others say the static wave appears after unlocking the device with the Screen Unlock In-Display fingerprint scanner or face recognition system.

Obviously, OnePlus 6T users affected by the static wave are hoping for a software issue that can be resolved with a simple software update. So far, there is no evidence that the company has read the forum posts and is working on a kind of correction. If the company has a word about this issue, we will update that story.
