CANADA – A Canadian makes headlines after her attempt to evade the police failed miserably, resulting in 14 criminal charges
According to CTV News, Brittany Burke and Richard Pariseau tried to buy stolen credit cards in the Spruce Grove Reddi Mart in the past week. The situation quickly escalated as police entered the scene.
In an attempt to evade arrest, Pariseau reportedly stabbed Burke into the officer. After a short fight, the suspects escaped, but instead of approaching the door, both ran backwards. When the officer searched for Pariseau, Burke went to the back room of the shop and climbed to the ceiling.
A few minutes later, ceiling tiles and the suspect plummeted back to the middle of the store.
Both suspects were ultimately caught and charged. Pariseau must now submit to eleven charges, including attacking an attacker, resisting arrest and using a stolen credit card. Burke was accused of hindering a police officer, of failing to comply with a commitment and of having mischief below $ 5,000.
